HOW STUPID AM I ? i did not know something like this existed was able to see exactly which questions i got wrong in verbal and quantitative for the first time ever. 3 wrong in verbal - 2 antonyms and one sentence correction of difficulty level 3 each time taken 20 seconds and 15 seconds. Hah whats the possibility that they were stupid mistakes ! I got 6- 7 wrong in maths and yet the score in verbal and maths is the same. Its strange. But i also noticed that the difficulty level of all my maths problems was 4 and above !

I submitted two LORS one fro a professor and one from my employer but they have added the professional in miscellaneous saying they require two academics... ow this might sound strange but i had only two senior professors teaching me in my final who both think the world of me and are willing to give me recos .. the problem is the second one has since then moved to canada because her husband moved there and she is not teaching there either but she was a professor in my university ofr 19 years and she only quit last year. LSE is however stressinggg on the LOR being on work id or professional letterhead ... what to do ? cant get in touch with them at all they are on break till january 4th but my application will be held off till then

they have asked about a policy issue that has impacted my life... but since none have ( atleast not significantly ) im going for the conversation or experience that changed my perspective .. i still find my SOP lacking in several departments! and yes I am from india.. are you German ?

Hi ! got through Columbia... they were very helpful they are going to send an email to her directly stating they havenit received her recommendation and advise her to send it at the soonest !

Hi , I am so stressed , my SIPA application is due in two weeks and a professor who taught me undergrad is writing one of the recommendations. She moved to Canada from India last year and I am pretty sure she is not too used to the online application system. When i had a reminder sent , she said she clarified with them and they said the student sends the reminder, She emailed saying she has submitted the Columbia recommendation but the application simply says notified. She said i should clarify with the university. I received her submission of George Washington and Syracuse recommendations two weeks back. I have emailed them and tried calling Columbia but no answer yet. I am freaking out. is it possible that the application says notified even after the recommendation being submitted ? thanks in advance

Hi. I gave my GRE in April. Studied for about a month , practiced only one awa essay. Moreover I was extremely tensed and actually crying cause i thought my maths had been a disaster i scored above 780 in all practice tests, soI really messed up the essay. I got a 3.5 , but i know the quality of writing is veryyy poor. People convinced me the score was high enough to offset the AWA and when i saw that the average Hopkins awa is 3.5 . i did not bother. But right now I just found out that the colleges get sample essays and Im dying , I cant concentrate on anything im just so tensed. Seriously how bad are my chances ? I gave the TOEFL as well and scored 116/120 I have a GPA of 3.8 . Can speak Native english and Hindi. Good spanish and German and basic Hungarian.

what about a letter of recommendation ? Can u review that

Im facing a similar problem .. they want you to draft it .. because I believe the professors mainly in India are not so used to writing them .. my professor really likes me she asked me to draft one and send it over and she will make the changes accordingly . I have a huge problem .. as I have to do it for all 3 writers and I fear the tone of writing will remain the same /

Hi , Thanks ! Yeah the thing is I already have it from one professor , she was the head of the economics department and taught me economics for two years. One is from my current boss , So do you suggest , I get two from Professors ? Thanks !
