I tried negotiating once already and they didn't even read my email, ignored my specific questions and just replied with a generic message declining further funding (i found that very disrespectful tbh considering the gravity of the cost on my end) but I might as well try again since I'll probably not go at this price anyways.

I'm right on the edge of declining my offer to Columbia, but I'm worried it's the wrong call. I just can't stomach the debt- I would be taking out like 100k in addition to my 40k in undergrad debt. Am I making a huge mistake if I back out?

Was anyone reading this accepted to VCU ceramics? I'm waitlisted and wondering if I have a chance at a spot. If you think you're not accepting let me know 😭

I asked if we could have a brief phone call and I asked them on the call about the waitlist timeframe. It was helpful, I got more information than I expected. (I think an email would be fine too)

I wouldn't be afraid to reach out, it conveys interest! I reached out to both schools I was waitlisted at, one (VCU) was very friendly and even gave me a virtual tour

Hey guys I have my Columbia interview on Friday, applied with sculpture. I am very nervous and intimidated, has anyone interviewed there and if so can you tell me any info that would help me prepare? I'm currently not accepted anywhere so feeling immense pressure to do well, but also I'm not not sure if I will get enough funding to attend even if I were accepted. Any thoughts are welcome!

Waitlisted at the 2 ceramics programs I would be able to afford, VCU and Alfred 💀 does anyone think I have a chance of being accepted off a waitlist? Hard to imagine anyone would decline a funded program esp. Alfred 😔 I don't want to get my hopes up for a complete long shot. Lmk if anyone has experienced this, it's so stressful, I poured all my energy and savings into the work I made for these apps. Thank you all for posting it's honestly so helpful to share in our struggles 💗

Actually I checked and it was only 1.5 weeks ago, looks like my sense of time might be a little warped by the anticipation and checking my inbox repeatedly 🤪😂 is anyone else getting acceptance emails in their dreams 😭

I am also interviewing for SAIC and so curious if anyone knows what its like/questions they ask. I heard back from columbia sculpture a few days ago for an interview.

I also applied to UCLA (ceramics) and have heard no reply yet
