Hi! I applied to Critical Human Rights and have not heard back. I understood also that they would ask for official transcripts at a later time from those actually selected as fellows. My estimate based on other years is that the critical window of notification is March 12-15 and after that if you haven't received an email, the chances of being selected drop sharply. I am cautiously hopeful. I learned a lot from the process of preparing the grant itself...and yet I would love to participate as a fellow!!
Fue mi post Sevillano! Gracias!
Every spare moment that I have is consumed with thinking about this. It sucks, but it makes me feel better that many of us feel the same way. It is stressful and irritating not to have control over such a huge thing in my life. Plus, I have put it all on the line dedicating years of education leading up to this one shot. I'm knocking on the door...somebody please be there to let me in!!
I can't ruminate without a visual, so what do you think? Are they googling us or could they care less because they just got roped into being on the committee? I wish I knew how it all works behind the scenes. Do they just all sit together at a big table one afternoon and go through applications? Do they have online access from home? Any thoughts on this?
I'm waiting too. I am specifically waiting for one Prof to send in a LOR which I requested 10/15. I followed-up and she assures me that she'll get it in, but I just don't like having to wait to have the app complete. I just want to make sure it's together and then let fate take over. Ugh. I'm only applying to one program because moving for a PhD program is not an option for me with a couple kidlets and a husband. I already have a good paying job, but just not one that satisfies my soul.
