So I guess they lied to me over the phone...someone else want to call?
  5. Well, rejected then I guess. Heh, maybe next year...
  6. Well that was anti-climactic.
  7. Hey, I'm pretty sure I've invested quite a bit less time in it than most of the people in this thread. The script took about 3 minutes to write, as opposed to some people here who have been constantly manually refreshing the site for hours straight. =) Anyway, I'm just setting myself up for disappointment here...I wrote all my essays the day before the thing was due and my broader impacts were a load of crap, but oh well.
  8. Wrote a script to check fastlane and email me if it's back up. Running it as a cronjob every minute. Waiting for my android phone to make the happy new email sound.
  9. I see it, it's at the top of the "advisories" box on this page: https://www.fastlane.nsf.gov/index.jsp

They said they are currently reviewing applications this week, and we could expect to hear back sometime next week.

I was accepted into the school for which I built my program of study - is that something I should contact them about to improve my chances, or does it not matter at all?

    So tired of waiting...
  13. Central US. Postmarked March 16th.
  14. Just got my Ph.D. rejection letter in the mail today.

I'm waiting for this as well. Has anyone heard anything? The website says mid to late March so it seems possible that people will start hearing pretty soon if not already.
  16. Cosmic - based on what seems like all of your posts, you seem extraordinarily concerned about interviews. I've gotta ask - any particular reason why? They're usually pretty laid back from what I can tell (though I only had one myself).
  17. No. I interviewed with Berkeley last Monday. I found out I was into UCLA when I had a "phone interview" with a professor there, but he had already decided that I was admitted and just wanted to talk to me, so I don't think that even counts as an interview. I also had a Skype conversation with the prof who accepted me into Columbia a few weeks after the acceptance. So the only real one was Berkeley. No form of interview whatsoever with UT.
  18. Haha, I'm actually fine with it as I've completely given up all hope based on the fact that all admits were sent the same day last year. Would be sort of nice to get a confirmation though.
  19. Got into Berkeley today Then rejected from Stanford Results so far: Accepted: Berkeley, UT Austin, UCLA, Columbia CMU - applied to CS and machine learning, they forwarded my application to ECE, admitted into ECE (presumably rejected from CS/ML) Rejected: Stanford, WashU, assume rejected from MIT since I haven't heard anything from them Haven't heard anything from: UCSD, Harvard, Caltech (saw some Caltech interviews in January so maybe rejected there too) (All CS PhD programs, other than the weird CMU thing)
  20. Awexome

    MIT?

I hope not, but seems likely to me
  21. So everyone had either multiple interviews or none at all? No single interviews?
  22. I got an email from CMU asking if I would like to have my application forwarded to the ECE department (for free and with no extra paperwork). I guess that can be taken as a rejection from CS. Oh well...win some, lose some.
  23. Nice! Did you apply to straight CS or robotics or what?
  24. Not officially, but the prof who accepted me said it would probably be 4/1-4/2.
