  1. It seems like you did really well, but there just wasn't enough funding. I'm really sorry to hear that. These academic processes elicit a lot of those type of feelings. Still, I hope you try to remind yourself that there is a lot of arbitrariness to these processes. I know people who submitted the same proposal a year later and were suddenly successful. (In one case, someone I know simply translated their proposal from one official language to another and boom - successful). That speaks to just how arbitrary this can really be. All that to say, this is not a reflection of you or your work. The fact that you're in your program is already a huge accomplishment. I wish you all the best in your studies!
  2. I just got my results and was not successful. FRQ seems to be more competitive than SSHRC since fewer applicants get awards. I should note this is for the doctoral award)
  3. I just got my results! I was awarded a CGS. Good luck everyone!! Last name G, received email at 10:28am -- Adding extra details because I have benefitted from reviewing others' details --- My scores: Research ability and potential: 5.62 / 6 Relevant experience and achievements obtained within and beyond academia: 5.55 / 6 Total Score: 11.17 / 12 It was my first time applying. I didn't have any peer-reviewed/academic publications but I did have publications in other sectors (a think tank report, and a government report). I had a lot of help from my supervisor in crafting my research proposal.

I unfortunately didn't get it, but a huge congrats to those of you who got it!!
  5. I also think this is old news that just took a while for their comms team to draft and post. I did however read in another forum that someone got results for NSERC CGS-D yesterday. Maybe the results will come out on a rolling basis? I won't hold my breath though. April 30 seems more likely

Did all NSERC CGS-D applicants get their results already ? I didn't realize they happened on different days (I'm SSHRC). I just thought all CGS-D would be on April 30

I read in some of the older forums that they got a message in the afternoon - last year seemed to be around noon and years prior were later in the afternoon but before close of business. Feeling nervous!

Another SSHRC here! Also awaiting a response. Glad I found this forum. I think April 16 was the official date from last year since I think 2024-25 cycle is actually last year’s cohort and this year would be 2025-26. Either way seems like next week we’ll find out
