Hello everybody
Similar transparency to the others - I've applied to the following PhDs: Northwestern & UC Berkeley (Performance Studies); Stanford, Brown, & Columbia (TAPS); Cambridge (English). Also additional transparency about stats: I'm American with a BA English (2:1), MA Theatre Criticism (1st), and an MFA Dramaturgy (3.98). My interest is primarily in the intersection of global politics and performance, with a particular focus on devising practices and works that stage violent histories (shout out to Milo Rau).
Looks like the first round of rejections for UC Berkeley went out yesterday, but I haven't received anything, so I'm guessing I'm still in the running (fingers crossed). All other apps are crickets, but if each of the programs I listed are following previous patterns, I'm expecting to hear about interviews next week, or rejections the first week of February.
