  1. I don't suggest you spending more time on your GRE. As far as I know, your current GRE score will not jeopardize your chance at KSG. You should work harder on your Personal Statement, essays and if possible, working experiences, which I beleive are things that KSG values most, instead of exam scores.
  2. Hi, can any international students who has received their I-20 tell me when is the date that we are required to arrive at campus, need the help to book a cheap airline tickets in advance, thanks!
  3. Has anyone who's on GSPP waitlist been notified of the results yet? Thanks!
  4. Based on your interests, I will vote for Michigan Ford. 1. The program is very quantitative. There're lots of quantative electives to take other than the core quantative courses. Besides, there're bunch of faculty members who're strong economists, some of them even hold positions at Business schools too. Besides, I think Ford is very well known for its down-to-earth kind style of equipping students with strong policy analysis skills. For example, Ford has three full-time staff who help students with their writing skills, that is very rare and impressive. 2. One of the biggest features about the MPP program at Ford is that it gives great support to students who do interdisciplinary studies. You can find lots of the cohorts who do dual degree programs at Ford. And Ford utilizes the entire UMich resources for those students. Umich has lots of professional programs that ranked highly around the nation, including business, education, social work, enviromental studies, etc, and that I beleive offers you wide range of opportunities to explore your interest and potential. CIPA is flexible but not quantatitive and analitical enough; Heinz and Harris is quantatitve but will not offer as much possibilities as Ford does; GPPI is not quantative enough. Good luck choosing your best fit!
  5. has anyone attend the Ford open house? any obeservation and thoughts? Thanks!
  6. I still haven't heard anything from USC, it's April already! I emailed the admission staff two weeks ago and he said the decision will be released in the next 2-4 weeks. What does it take so long for them to make a decision on my application??? Since lots of you received the admission letter a month ago, I'm really confused about how their admission process works....
  7. Thanks! I read "in the amount of $20,000 OR $10,000" together and totally forget the rest of the sentence...
  8. They have sent out emails before stating that applicants can check their admission status through the online application system. And the admission letter said that funding information will be released at the end of March.
  9. Congrats to all of you who received scholarships! Here's my email and I can't really figured out what does it mean by saying: "in the amount of $20,000 OR $10,000" I am pleased to inform you that you have been awarded a fellowship in the amount of $20,000 or $10,000 for each year of your two years of study in the master of public policy program at the Ford School of Public Policy. The following circumstances may affect your fellowship funding: ● Less than full-time enrollment in a semester ● Enrollment in a dual degree program ● Receipt of additional funding ● Academic probation/suspension ● In-state student status Can anybody explain? Thanks?
  10. Lots of students haven't heard back from them yet. So I guess they will be sending out rejection emails this week....
  11. Hi Kapture, thanks so much for your advices. I really need to act more actively and utilize every resources possible to get the information I need. Let's keep on exchanging information and hope we'll pick the best fit!!!
  12. I dont know the situation in the US market since I'm from abroad too... Do you plan to work in the US after graduation?
  13. Though not stated clearly on the website, I'm pretty sure that $39,000 is an annual tuition number. It's extremely expensive right? So they offer large amout of student huge scholarships to attract them. If this is a total tuition number, I guess I definitely will go there. However, now I have to wait for other programs and consider lots of pros and cons. Cause even granted with nearly 20k/year, I still have to pay almost 60k in total to finish the program. Let's hope there will be more generous schools that accept us!!!
  14. Hi there, I received the acceptance email with generous scholarship too. But it's because there seems to be so few discussions about the program and I can only get very limited information from their website that make me being uncertain about the program's prestige and recognition among applicants. You said that you've heard very good things about this program. Would you mind share more details with us? Thanks!
  15. I'm IN 2!!!!!!!!! Super excited and can't go back to sleep since I wake up 6 in the morning to check out the email box....
  16. I did not pay much attention to the tuition differences among schools when applying to those. But now finally I realized now important it is to know which schools are affordable cause I found some schools have unbeleivably high tuition like JHU!!!
  17. As so many of you have heard the good news, I'm pretty freaked out right now cause I checked my online status and it STILL says , "Your file is currently in the first stage of our evaluation process. We will notify you if additional information or materials are required. Please contact your intended academic department directly to make sure all supplemental application materials have been received." How can that be possible? I submitted my application on mid-Dec. Should I trust the online status???Is it possible that they haven't updated it for a long time? I really appreciate some comfort here...
  18. Got rejected too. 2 rejection and no admission so far...
  19. Congrats! Which program did you apply to? MPA or MPP?
  20. Doesn't Erasmus Munds guarantee full funding?
  21. I searched some threads from last year and found out that USC SPPD do rolling admission actually. I submitted my application right on the deadline so I guess I still have to suffer for a few more days =( Anyway, hope for the best for all of us!
  22. Has anyone heard from MPA program in USC SPPD? I heard someone has received admission emails already.
  23. Has anyone hear from Brown MPP/MPA? I haven't received any information after submitting the application in Dec. Besides, did anyone know their email address? There's nothing on their website!!!...
