I haven't heard about interviews on the Yale, Juilliard, Michener front for this year. I know the interviews last year for Juilliard didn't happen until May. May! As far as accomplishments go- don't sweat it. From what I hear, it's all about the piece you send in. There will always be folks applying with credentials a mile long, but maybe their pieces are boring. Just because you've had something produced off-broadway doesn't mean it was any good, right? I've been beating myself up about the draft I sent in, but I have to remind myself- I love my piece. I believe in that piece. Fingers crossed and good thoughts!

Sorry to hear about Michener...I haven't heard yay or nay as of yet. I'll keep fingers crossed for the other amazing programs. Is anyone else dying from anxiety?

Glad to hear you had a great time. I'll let you know how the piece in March is...but I thought it was cool last year when I went. Fingers crossed for all...Michener will call people by March 10th. Holy Crap!

Hey!I'm definitely going to PlayLabs. I went last year and it was really inspiring. Not sure if everyone gets the invite...but its a safe assumption. The letter was nice and has been my little silver lining. They might have done it for lots of folks, but made me feel like applying wasn't a waste of time and effort. I've lived in Brooklyn for about six years now. I've had a bunch of shorter pieces done around town and one full length produced off-off-off- you know sluggin' it out down here. How about you? Where are you applying? Did you get an interview from Michener last year? I'm trying to compile information so I don't lose my mind to anxiety.

You and I are applying for the same three programs, my friend. This is my first time to this forum and would love any insight you might have about years past. Did you apply to these same programs last year? I applied and was rejected from Juilliard last May and I'm still feeling the burn. I did get a really nice letter from Tanya saying that they enjoyed my play...lil' hand written note. It was nice. But no interview.
