  1. got my offer letter directly as hardcopy few hours back. the letter was posted on 25th march. typical sunysb offer with TA+RA+Fellowship.
  2. did you try to contact them? I heard from one my friend there that graduate office might be in spring break!
  3. same here. waiting is so much tiring.
  4. Can anyone here give any qualitative review of SUNYSB CG ? What I'v seen in other forums, people always tend to denote them as 'very strong'. but never really found any logical explanation leading to the evaluation. is there anyone to shed some light?
  5. When did you get notification of fellowship? With the acceptance mail or the next one with funding offer? ( I'm still waiting on the next one )
  6. got acceptance mail few days back. is there anyone else who got into sunysb CG?
  7. seems like a lot of people got that email. the number seems too large to indicate wait-list. Still, it feels good not to have been rejected yet
  8. dose anyone have any definite idea about funding scenario in NCSU?
  9. kuntal

    NYU?

which way?... email or standard mail.
  10. applyyourself page for UPenn. (same one I use for applying). Shows 'under review' in application status portion. also includes status of all other documents and recommendations.
  11. almost everyday there are one or two rejections from UPenn popping up on the results. how much if the possibility of one getting accepted if the status still shows 'under review'. anyone with any definite news?
  12. Those who are accepted/rejected by U Penn. can you share your profile here?
  13. its good that purdue sorted things out with you quite early. its really boring to stuck out with "Recommended for admission". did you receive your acceptance mail right aways or you too had a recommendation mail previously? and if possible share your profile with us.
  14. ok..I happen to know someone who applied to 11 schools...rejected at 10. accepted to the only one that mattered..MIT!
  15. hey..congrats. march 2nd seems like a confusing deadline. even other Canadian schools are less likely to come up with a decision by that time. did you contact them?
  16. saw some entries about columbia. seems like they are laying few decision every now and then. (mostly rejects though). I still haven't heard anything from them yet. does it mean i'm climbing up the ladder or they are just waiting to finish off some important stuffs and have some free moment to trash out all the rejects at once?
  17. ahh...actually i didn't really intend to go that far...but all those talks about economic crisis and predictions of massive cut off in the budget really shakes your confidence as an international applicant. end of the day i found out somehow i just kept adding new schools on the list!
  18. ...still in the end you got what you needed isn't it all that matters? btw..since you are from penn...can you share your idea about the CG program there. their CG website looks too cool ( and of course can be quite misleading ).
  19. seems like you have done your homework fine enough. I didn't have that much of opportunity to gather useful information beforehand. so had to depend on website information a lot. anyways, since you guys have sorted your own list, where would place U Penn CG among yours.
  20. both of them seems like the slowest on the earth for processing admission documents
  21. applied to Penn and Brown. still waiting and biting my nails.
  22. i found a couple of entries for U Penn PhD on the results section. Does anyone here have any idea regarding when they will finish off with their acceptance/rejection ?
  23. congrats on your success (so far!). i have one question for you (a bit backdated though)...how did you really choose your preference of school? there is hardly any information/forum talks available regarding program strength/funds of graphics in different schools. Formal rankings always focused upon system/AI/theory subtracks .. CG hardly fits into any of them.
