  1. Congratulations Ingolstadt- look forward to seeing you in the fall. Who else is going to Emerson?
  2. And the cost of living alone is so large- I've decided on Emerson and Boston is sooo steep! Where I am now, I'm used to being able to comfortably afford my own space. Not going to be the case in the next few years.
  3. Thanks SLP_419! Did she give you your admissions decision over the phone then?
  4. Has anybody talked to University of Arizona? I haven't heard a thing from them (although on the results page it looks like two people have) and they said they would be sending decisions several weeks ago...
  5. If anybody has the cahones to ask University of Arizona whether their decisions have been mailed, please post what you hear. I've already bothered the nice woman in admissions this week so I'm sitting on my hands. :-)
  6. Hey Tpatoati- I agree with Messybrownhair- stay positive and have faith in yourself. I'm an older student too, 29. You are by no means a not impressive applicant. It sounds like you've done really well both in your major and in the post-bas classes, 3.8 is great! And...being an older student often means you are way more prepared and ready to study and excel in classes (for me anyway!) and admissions committees knows that. The worst case scenario is that you don't get into a program that you're happy with this year. If that's the case, get involved in some research studies study your tail off and retake the GRE's (I did, my initial scores were low). You're motivated and you know what you want- you will get in. It's just a matter of when.
  7. If anyone applied to University of Arizona and Vanderbilt- admissions at both schools told me letters will be arriving by next week.
  8. I spoke to admissions at Vanderbilt and she said we should be getting letters in the mail next week.
  9. I wouldn't be discouraged by that, I know Emerson sends out decisions in several rounds, this is just the first round. Good luck!
  10. My 'submit enrollment deposit' tab is right underneath the 'admissions decision' tab, I scrolled down- didn't see it at first.
  11. Has anyone spoken to Vanderbilt or University of Arizona to see when decisions will be made/mailed? From last years information, it looks like Vanderbilt sent notifications this week, so I'm hoping it's the same this year?
  12. Mine too :-)... my girlfriend and I are road trippin' it to...Madison? Tuscon? Nashville? Who knows...We may not know until the day we head out.
  13. Yeah- I talked to UT and they didn't even start reviewing applications until Feb 1st.
  14. Oh, goodness. I got a false acceptance letter today- heads up U of Wisconsin Madison applicants. It said I was accepted contingent on my prereqs being finished by the fall. I had specified in my application that they would not be, so this confused me and I called admissions. They said the letter was sent to me in error, and that the person who knows the status of my application is out today and "may " be in tomorrow. I'm going to try and see this as a way of learning to let go of things out of my control. Lol. Sigh.
  15. FYI U of Wisconsin Madison applicants- The admissions administration contact person told me she expects to be mailing decisions this week. Good luck~
