hi everyone, anyone joining neuroscience Phd this year. I am going to join there. I don't know the place and department well ( i am from bangladesh ), can anyone help.

hi friends, I got email from saying..... "Your application for admission to the Ph.D. program of the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences has now been reviewed by the Faculty Admissions Committee. The Committee, I am happy to tell you, concluded that you are qualified for admission to GSBS. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer you admission at this time because virtually all the financial assistance available through GSBS has been committed to students previously admitted for the Fall Semester." I am an international applicant so they have no fund left for me because international applications are reviewed in last rotation?? It also said.... " However, at this point in our admissions cycle we like to give our faculty members the opportunity to provide financial support for qualified students such as you. We circulate a list of these students to the faculty and ask if a department, program, or group of faculty is willing to provide a first-year assistantship so that an additional student can be admitted." What is the chance for me to get admitted in this program? Is it some sort of rejection??

Thanks for your nice comments, but can anyone tell me about reputation of the university and of the department? Is 20+K per year fellowship is good enough to cover living expense? Can you give any idea if i want to stay in dormitory what is the average total cost of living per month?

Is there anyone know about indiana university? Is it a good choice? I got accepted in PhD 2009, but also waiting for University of Texas Medical Branch and Medical University of South Carolina decision. Any advice on which one I should attend?

GPA of 39 cradits ( out of 51) so far > 3.7 ( out of 4) TOEFL = 102 ( test date 2008) GRE = 1530 ( v 740 + Q 790) + AW 5.0 (Test date 2007) Research experience: 1. Undergraduate class projects, field visits, research assignments. 2. Coursework during MPH of Epidemiology, Study Design, Biostatistics, Research Methodology, Behavioral Science, Class projects and assignments. 3. Masters thesis: A case control study of the relationship between Cognitive impairment and Betel Nut chewing.
