i havent started to attend yet and i had a deep interest in a mpa/mpp. was thinking about doing a dual program so was inquiring.

I am sure it is not worthless but that is the sentiment that is shared around the law schools i visited. I am looking at a non profit or government position working with education reform mostly.

Hello all, I was wondering what you guys thought of the job prospects/pay after obtaining one of those degrees? I am also going to be attending a top law school and many seem to tell me that a MPA/MPP degree is pretty much worthless and going to lead to no job opportunities by itself? what are your experiences with this?

anybody have experience with HKS funding?

how was the funding with your acceptance packages?

scores are 670 v 790q 4.5 AW, if i increase my verbal would it increase my chances are scholarships at HKS and WWS and SIPA?

it hurts to see ppl take this amount of debt and shrugging. sometimes i wonder if ppl actually research income based repayment plans and other forgiveness plans.

Hello, I am not too familiar with the app process for a MPP, so I need your advice. I just took the GRE and got a V 680 and a Q 800 with a AW of probably 4 - 5. Should I retake to raise my writing and verbal considering I will be applying to HKS and WWS with less work experience than others? Also, I will be attending a top 6 law school concurrently by next year. Thank you!

For what it is worth, my resume is entirely in the field of public interest and service and i will have taken a year off when I apply this coming fall. the problem is i don't have "full time working experience" because my visa limits the time i can work. I have taken introductory micro and macroeconomics, statistics, and calculus during undergrad. I am mainly want to do a JD/MPP program. Preferably Columbia/HKS dual program.

what about finance courses? can these count as quantitative classes?

I am definitely sure that I will have a very diverse and interesting application due to my personal background. However, I have zero years of full-time work experience since I am an international student studying in the U.S. I am also applying for a law degree in the top ten schools since I received an LSAT of 172. Any advice or comments would be appreciated.
