  1. From the sounds of it, her university's the same as mine in that the 4th calculus course is really just a Real Analysis course.
  2. I got my acceptance via e-mail. There's a place on my.unc.edu that you can check for it but they're slower.
  3. I might be biased, but for technical degrees I have a higher regard for GaTech. From what you've said, it seems GaTech is the more 'logical' choice but if you really feel that you would be uncomfortable there then you should go with your gut. Although, I highly doubt they actually formed poor opinions of you. You were accepted with a great stipend, and people understand nerves.
  4. So, I received an email today telling me that I was accepted into Berkeley's MPH Biostat/Epid program. Ok... I applied to the MA Biostat program, what's going on here? There's no comment about being rejected from the MA program, its acting like I just applied to MPH! Well turns out that SOPHAS decided I applied to the MPH program. The MPH program director talked to the MA program director and found that they were almost done with admissions and the MA director recommended that I just accept and transfer to the MA program. Ok, fine. Then I find out that MA students all got funding while MPH students didn't get funding at all in their first year. I really want to go to Berkeley, I really want to not be in huge amounts of debt. What should I do?
  5. Why? That's a bit silly. Anyways, the rankings look right from everything I've been told by my advisor who's on the adcom of UNC's biostat grad program.
  6. Have you considered that it is because those programs didn't rank?
