  1. Congratulations!! Do you know who your advisor is going to be?
  2. I applied for the Urban Ed PhD and about three weeks ago I received an email guiding me to a website to log in and get my rejection letter. This weekend I also received the same letter in the mail. Two punches to the gut rather than one.
  3. I heard about PLI in person. I am not sure about TEP but I think it might be sometime in April. I was in TEP from 2004-2006 and don't remember when I heard but I think i got a letter in the mail. Good luck!
  4. Which credential? Teaching or admin? Are you talking about TEP or PLI? I heard back from the PLI program last week.
  5. What masters program did you apply for?
  6. I got an email with a link to log in to see the department's decision. I logged it and there was a letter on UCLA letterhead that I could print if I wanted to. I am definately taking the GRE again since I think that was the weakest part of my application.
  7. I think I will reapply next year. I am going to call the department and see if they can tell me anything about my app that I can improve for next year. It can't hurt to ask.
  8. I just got my letter via email. Rejected.
  9. Thanks for the info! I have a Masters in Education from UCLA.
  10. Congratulations!!! I am still waiting for my letter.
  11. So sorry to hear that, hijynx. Hang in there. I'm sure I'll be right there with you after I check the mail tomorrow.
  12. I haven't heard yet either and have also come to terms with the fact that I probably didn't get in. That'll be 3 rejections out of 3 apps. I will try again next year.
  13. Really? I bet your heart skipped a beat.
  14. Oh no... You too? Well cheers to your positive attitude.
  15. rejection letter in the mail today. very competitive according to the letter. best of luck to those of you that haven't heard yet.
  16. thanks for the info. congratulations!
  17. Many teachers I know don't have a BA in Ed. I am a teacher and now I have a M.Ed. but I got my BA in Anthropology. As long as you have a credential you didn't need to major in education to be a teacher, nor did you need to major in Education to apply for a Master's in Education. Many colleges and universities don't even have an ed major, just a minor.
  18. Just saw that someone posted in the results section that they got accepted by phone today to Graduate School of Education and Information Studies PhD. They didn't say what program however.
  19. Let's all just try to stay positive. This whole process is exhausting and it starting to make me paranoid.
  20. Let's just declare it as false anyway!
