I did hear back from them two weeks ago (I had already accepted another offer). I had sent a message at the end of March and didn't hear from them at all for two weeks, so who knows what the silence could mean! Maybe try again saying you're about to accept another offer and see if that pushes the notification along a little.

I grew up there, and I can safely say that 16K is completely doable in East Lansing. A room in a 2 or more bedroom house apartment will probably be around 3-400, you can find one-bedrooms for 5-600. I am on the east coast right now and I miss the Midwest cost of living something fierce.

I'm one of the waitlisted at Wisconsin, too- any idea of how many they are accepting this year?
