  1. Thanks East_of_Eden, same to you! I agree, it's not ideal being unable to take classes in other colleges...free tuition would be hard to turn down though!
  2. Just got accepted! If anyone has any info on how they are with regards to education policy, I'd greatly appreciate some insight. Admittedly it's not very high on my list of acceptances, but they said I had a "very strong application" - hoping for a big scholarship (and that may change my mind)!
  3. Unfortunately I can't confirm whether it's for HKS as a whole or for just the MPP program, but looking at the figures linden cited I wouldn't be surprised if it's MPP only.
  4. I was told by someone who's doing the MPP at HKS that they received 1600+ applications. Their usual is 1200-1300.
  5. I just got mine, it's dated February 16th. Bear in mind though, my house is all of 20 minutes away from College Park. I wouldn't worry yet if I were you - their online system says two to three weeks, and if you're far away from CP I wouldn't be surprised if it took that long. Sorry to hear you have to wait so long though... To those who did receive acceptances from Maryland, I'm just curious: does your letter of acceptance have a paragraph about approval being needed from the International Education Services? I guess even though I'm a PR here in the US they're still considering me an international student for some reason...
  6. Great, thanks! Now I wonder why I haven't heard back yet...
  7. Plate or platter, when did you apply to Maryland? I applied late-November to early-December, but haven't heard anything back yet. Testudo says my status is "Decision Pending." Just curious since they're supposed to be rolling admissions.
  8. Haha good to know! Felt a little out of place...
  9. Education and social policy, doesn't matter if it's domestic or international.
  10. Gee, first one to be direct from college...
  11. Great, shouldn't be a problem filling in the rest of the form then. Thanks!
  12. Oh, no, I haven't heard from them yet...but I was looking at their financial aid page and it had this on it: "However, if you are a prospective new student, to ensure that you receive information about your eligibility for financial aid when you receive your admission decision, you should apply for aid at the same time that you apply for admission to Georgetown." That's why I was trying to fill out the form, but haven't had any idea about the GUID.
  13. Hi everyone, For those who have applied to Georgetown University for Fall 2009, do you already know your GUID#? I'm trying to fill out the Graduate Student Supplement Form and either I've lost track of where my GUID# went, or I never got one. I've checked every e-mail I received from them and there's no mention of a GUID#. If you've already submitted it, please let me know how you filled out that box! Thanks!
