I'll be attending BC in the fall for a Master's in Social Work. I'll be new to the Boston area and I'm so excited! If anyone will be headed there, it would be great to hear from you --N

When did you apply? I just heard back from Boston College 2 weeks ago after sending my app in the middle of January. I heard back from UPitt in December, (5 days after I sent in my app,) and I'm still waiting on 3 more schools. I had all my apps done between December 1 and January 15.

I already knew I'd be looking at student loans, but I didn't want to spend a crazy amount of money on my MSW either. Fortunately, I was offered a pretty good scholarship from one of the more expensive schools. Without the scholarship, I don't think it would be worth it. I don't want to be in debt for a decade!

I didn't apply advanced standing either, but I got accepted to the regular 2-year program a couple of weeks ago. They offered me a pretty nice scholarship too. (3.505 GPA from Vanderbilt, lots of volunteering/community activism) Good luck!
