That was me - yes the commitee has all of the applications and are going through them/may have finished, but as far as I know they haven't met yet - and the person who told me seemed surprised that I would think that they had met, which is where i got the sense that it might be awhile. But, there has been some action recently so they may be getting started (hopefully).

Just seconding the unlikeliness of Michigan happening this week - As of Friday the committee hadn't met yet and I get the sense they won't be meeting for awhile. Although, one of my prof's just e-mailed a colleague at another school asking for the names of his students who applied, that could be a good sign.

I've only gotten one response, a rejection from yale. I thought getting the first decision would make me less anxious but it's only made things worse. Now I'm dying to hear back and I doubt I'll hear from anyone else until the end of the month.
