I applied to DePaul as well! When did you hear about being waitlisted? I still haven't heard anything regarding my application so I wasn't sure what the deal was? Hang in there!!! I know this waiting is rough! April 15 cant come soon enough!!!

Hey Guys- I actually spoke to someone last week who had applied to DePaul and had gotten a call from the department accepting them into the program.. Therefore, I am assuming that initial offers have already been made Just thought I would share!

I applied to DePaul as well and got the same email back in January about the Feb notification date, but still have yet to hear anything as well. Hmmmm... I thought it was strange that they would be making their decision so quickly with a Jan deadline too.

Haha, waiting is the worst! Did PSU say anything about the timeline for phone interviews??

Actually, of the schools I applied to I haven't heard from ANY as of yet The waiting is killing me... Schools I have applied to: Depaul Portland State SLU UMSL UNCC - OB UNCC - I/O Masters I am hoping that news starts coming in this week!

Man... I am sorry to hear that Hopefully you will receive some GOOD news soon to counteract that! If it makes you feel any better, I just got a rejection solely based on economy... The professor I had contacted/wanted to work with stated that I was her #1 applicant, but that their budget got cut by 20% and she would not be able to take students this year.... ouch... so close... It stinks when your reasons for non-acceptance have nothing to do with things that are in your control... Hang in there!

Hey Olivia- I applied to PSU as well and have not heard anything yet They were kind of my long shot school despite the fact that I have good rec letters/gre etc because of how popular their program seems to be so I feel like i anxious to hear back as well! I have no idea how they will let us know - from their website it looks like they get a "short list" around the end of Feb/early Mar and then do phone interviews from that list. I would assume that rejection letters would most likely come similar to the letter we got stating the application was complete. Who knows though

I agree! I think that this might be one of the toughest years to get accepted based on the applicant pool/status of the economy. I am hoping that not too many programs cut funding/graduate acceptances due to what is going on financially in the country! Anyone have any insight into PSU's program? A few people at the beginning of this thread thought responses from faculty were cold. I have not encountered the same issue, but have had a hard time getting a response.

Hi Guys- I applied to SLU as well! However, I haven't heard anything yet and I hear that it is typically mid/end of March before you hear anything The waiting is killing me from all of the schools.... I applied to 9 programs but my top are SLU, Portland State, DePaul, and UNCC. Has anyone heard back from any of these programs yet?
