I'm fairly certain I'll be in Tucson - it's my only funded offer so far. I'm still waiting on one more school, and am waitlisted at another, but I think UA's offer is going to be hard to beat. I live in Seattle right now, so the cost of living looks great in Tucson, but I'm a little worried about the heat. Has anyone had a chance to research neighborhoods yet?

Yes, UT's wait list is done by field, so Guenevere's decision is unlikely to affect my wait list status. I suppose places with ranked wait lists must just arrange people on them with a variety of interests to avoid letting four medievalists in at once? I know it's been said before, but this whole process is crazy.

Orin, I also haven't gotten my rejection, although I live quite a bit further from Chicago. In my case, though, I doubt it means I've got an MA offer coming - UChi was probably the worst fit of any of the places I applied. (But then, what do I know? Two of my "perfect fit" schools rejected me...) Gah! Just tell me already!

It sounds like what you want is a wiki - reasonably easy to set up, but you get all the downsides of user-generated content (as we see daily on the results page). It's a pretty great idea, though, if someone can devote the time to set-up and monitoring.
