  1. I was the one who posted that...the whole email is this: There has been an error in the application system which sent admission notices for the distance-learning program to all of our applicants. Please disregard this notice. Official admissions decisions will be sent no later than next. We appreciate your patience and understanding while we resolve this system error. Best, Karen Jurss Graduate Admissions School of Electrical and Computer Engineering ***(They didn't finish the sentence after 'next', I am confused as well) ------------------- It was emailed during the same the day when I got this : Congratulations! The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering has completed the evaluation of your application to enter the graduate program for the Fall 2011 semester. We are pleased to advise you that your application has been forwarded to the Graduate School with our recommendation that you be admitted as a Direct PhD (have not earned a masters) distance-learning student. As a distance-learning student, you will belong to two separate departments: ECE for your plan of study and degree requirements, and Engineering Professional Education for course registration. You should receive information from Engineering Professional Education shortly regarding registration instructions. Upon approval by the Graduate School an official letter of admission will be uploaded to your application within 2 weeks. If you do not receive this letter, please contact us. Best, Sam Midkiff Professor and Director of Graduate Admissions School of Electrical and Computer Engineering -------------------- I was excited when I saw the acceptance, but I think it was a mistake...a glitch on their system
