Got the "little envelope" from SVA Illustration as Visual Essay MFA...

Has anyone heard from the SVA Illustration program? Or know if they've requested interviews?

I heard last Friday by email that I'm wait-listed for the 3-yr program...

Accepted at MICA (Illustration) and Pratt (CommD MFA). Waitlisted at RISD (argh!)Anyone have thoughts they'd like to share on MICA Illustration or Pratt CommD? They're both new programs... makes me a little hesitant to say yes, especially having seen hardly any student work from the actual programs...

I know what you mean about not having enough time. I think mine went well *fingers crossed* - I forgot to ask when they'd be getting back to us. Not sure how many people they're interviewing. I was able to talk with a few of the 3-yr and 2-yr students, and they were all super nice and enthusiastic about the work, which is great. I found it a little weird that the building was far from the rest of campus but I'm sure I'd get used to it. I browsed through some of the grad theses at the library but other than that I didn't get to see much student work. What were your impressions?

Good question. I'm interviewing there on Friday - i'd be interested to hear your thoughts after your visit. I applied to the 3yr, my background is not in GD so you'd probably have a different perspective than me.

Pratt/ MFA Communications Design - Interviewed 2/17 MICA / Illustration MFA - Accepted Radio silence from: RISD / 3-yr Graphic Design MFA SVA / Illustration MFA

Anyone out there heard from RISD (Graphic Design) or SVA (Illustration)? Do these programs always do interviews? I got an acceptance from MICA for their new Illustration program, and interview with Pratt Visual Communications MFA... still waiting to hear.
