Unfortunately, I don't think we'll hear anything else until April when we'll either get an email offer or a paper rejection...

Yeah I have a friend who got it last year and she also said she got her notification some time around march 4th or 6th.

I applied for this one too. I haven't seen any info on how many applications they usually get-- does anyone else know?

Hey everyone, I was wait listed at a program I am very interested. Fortunately, I have a good offer from a program that I know I could do well in and be happy at. While the program I am wait listed at was my first choice during the application process, having visited the program I have been accepted to, I'm not sure that I would automatically chose the other program if I got in, though it is likely (unfortunately if I do get off the wait list I won't be able to visit the other program, though I have met my potential adviser there and am familiar with the area where the university is located) I know that I don't have to make any decisions for a while and can wait and see what happens with the list- but does anyone have any experiences with wait lists, know how they work, etc?

Two questions--- 1) For those who attended the NYU visit weekend- any clue about when we'll all hear something? What was the weekend like? 2) I see one or two people have heard from Michigan- anyone else know when the rest of us should expect to hear something? Thanks! B

Wow, for me that is a relief to read. NYU is one of my favorite programs and when I saw others had been invited to a visiting weekend I was pretty disappointed. My question is- if, after this visit weekend, a person who was not invited to the weekend is accepted, are they then invited to campus? Or must decisions be made without a visit? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
