Sorry to hear about your rejection; I'm also early American, though, so I guess there must be some other factor.

I know that at least two people have been rejected from UNH--sorry . But my status on the online page has not changed from "Under review by department." Is anyone else in this situation? Can anyone shed any light?

Yes, I live about 10 miles from Harvard. My letter is dated Feb. 26.

Contra any previous word, Harvard is indeed sending out official rejections now; I got mine today.

I did debate in high school (Lincoln-Douglas) for the National Forensic League. I also did some policy debate in college, but only intracollegiate.

I'm still waiting for all of my schools. Harvard, UNH, BU (American Studies).

I concur. Last year Harvard sent out acceptances this week, and rejections next week.

Someone else alluded to this, but remember that number of students enrolled doesn't equal number accepted. My husband was accepted to USC last year, but he enrolled at a different university.

I too am hoping to study 19th-century American history, and I also did not apply very many places, so hopefully LifeIsGood and I don't overlap.
