I just called York and possibly left the most awkward voice mail in my life to inquire about the status of my application. Let's hope I hear back soon! I did send my application back in November, as well, but the deadline wasn't until February 1st (which was, as I understand it, an extended one). I received notification around February fourth that I would hear back in six to eight weeks, and it's now at the tail end of that (and that was a form letter, I believe, that's sent to all applying students).
I've heard back from other programs, thankfully, with acceptances! But both of the schools I applied to in Toronto were high on my list of interest, and I don't want to make any rash decisions. York in particular is one where I went and met with some people I'd love to work with, as they can help foster my ideas and help them grow. I left the meetings feeling very encouraged, but fully aware that they wouldn't be in charge of the application process.
But yeah, I want to know. I check my York myfile page several times a day, and people reported hearing back! But who knows? I only contacted this morning because of the sudden fear that mail from Canada to the US would take far longer than I'd prefer (as it ... has in the past). I'd rather know than not know at this point, be it acceptance or rejection.
