First of all, since this is my first post: Hello to all of you! A friend of mine just told me about this site a couple of days ago.
Secondly: I guess I'm posting this to vent a bit, since I'm getting super-duper antsy waiting for my decisions. I hope this kind of post-application rating is not something that is frowned upon here.
So, here's my stats:
I did my Bachelor's at the Vienna University of Technology. My GPA is 1.6 (Austrian grading system), which percentile-wise translates to something like 3.7 (US).
My GRE was 550/750/3.5 (V/Q/A) the first time and 500/770/4 (V/Q/A) the second time.
So far, I did not publish anything yet, but have almost two years of teaching experience.
I want to specialize in AI, and my grades in that particular area have only been straight A's.
I have been granted a Fulbright Scholarship to do a MSCS in the US.
Since the Austrian Fulbright program only let's you apply to four universities, I applied to:
HarvardColumbiaUniversity of Illinois at ChicagoStony Brook
UIC already accepted me. No specific details on funding/RA/TA yet, though.
What do you think are my chances at the other three?
Cheers!
