After I got interviewed by a professor,not POI, I've been checking his web page everyday, expecting to find something, don't know what, and started religiously following all the professors, cos i don know who might interview me next

I would rather want to be waitlisted than to be kept guessing. If there was a waitlist number, it would be great to know of my chances after April 15. For waitlist no.> 1/4 accepted, reject me. 1/4 is a magical number, the school will have the statistic for the program. But things can go wrong for them too. For good schools, i guess 1/4 accepted will be more than enough for a waitlist.

Apply for RA with some prof in univ,probably IISc. I think the deadlines are up for this year, Don't take corporate internships, unless you're interested in a job atleast in India.I was at a similar situation as you 've described, after one year of working with in a R&D position(Not too much R in it), applied. What I did was I took job, and internships only in my field of interest. That might help. I had circumstances that made me choose this. But, now I regret not going to a few RA offers after I graduated. The point is, its what you want, finally. Research experience or corporate etiquette.

I'm an addict and I got admitted without a mail for 2 days now, after checking status page nonstop, from the time I clicked the submit button. I'm still addicted for the mail to come. I find headshots(in FPS) a good way to turn my attention other than going to office and trying to work
