University of South Florida requires you to take 3 credits outside of the art department...ie biology, physics etc.

No, they didn't tell me where I was ranked. But, in the letter it said that we wouldn't know if we got in until June, which is waaaay too late then to accept any other offer. I don't know what kind of other offers you recieved, but I know that I am probably going to accept another offer because I don't want to take that chance of not getting off the wait list.

NO!! Gahh it's killing me! And yes good luck!! Do you think they heard by letter? Because I saw awhile back that SAIC was calling ppl too because admissions was backed up. But I think they were on spring break last week, so lets hope for this week!!

I have been placed on the list as well. I'm not sure how long it is either, but I definitely wouldn't turn down any other offers until you contact them and ask what place you are on the list, or your chances etc.

Yes, I'm from the US. I have lived in Manhattan too. I love NYC, but have heard not the greatest things about Pratt, although I know nothing about the communication design program. I have on the other hand heard great things about CMU. It's a tough decision!!

Congrats!!! But actually Pratt is in Brooklyn, not Manhattan. Not sure if that makes a difference to you, but congrats!

Piercings really aren't a huge deal. I have an industrial as well and 1 inch (25mm) plugs and those aren't going to close up! I also have my nose pierced. In undergrad the head of our theater dept had full sleeve and neck tattoos. Its all about where you want to teach and what you want to do.

I got the same email. When I was interviewed he said it would be 1-2 weeks until they notify us, but it will be two weeks tomorrow. Do you think we will hear by the end of this week?

I didn't interview at SAIC (FVNM doesn't conduct interviews), and I got the email!! I was excited and then like...oh, nevermind! haha Also, you need to have studied in China and know Chinese to be eligible for the scholarship anyways.
