AHH another Norway-er! Welcome Did you apply for a Full grant or as an ETA? I know, I kind of feel the same way, but at the same time, would rejections take so long? WHO KNOWS! haha all I can do is drive myself nuts guessing 24/7

hahaha that is so funny. I am having the same problem, I am SO distracted from school this semester by this waiting it is not even funny. I cannot think of anything but when I am going to find out.. its soooo bad ugh. I am not the kind of person who deals well with uncertainly to say the least! And I am just not liking the longer than usual wait..

There is not one that I know of, but my FPA had the notification dates for 2009 for some countries, Norway being one of them, and it was March 17th for both 2009 and 2010.. so not quite understanding the major delay that is happening! ugh.

Couldn't agree more! I am not understanding the delay. For example regarding Norway some decisions were mailed last friday and the rest will be mailed "within the week". I do not understand the large gap between decision notification, and why when you ask they dodge the question.. I am just hoping they will ACTUALLY be mailed out "within the week" which I guess means at the latest next Thursday, but they are so late this year (according to the past 2 years) I just feel like I am going to be waiting forever! sigh It is really hard knowing some people from my country have decisions already, and I do not.. and not knowing what that means..

COULD NOT agree more.. you basically just perfectly described my day yesterday and my feelings in general haha, so glad to know I am not the only one!! Getting a masters at London School of Economics is my plan B and I have to let them know yes/no on my offer preferably by next Wednesday .. which is just adding to my frustrations!

Ah thanks so much for getting back to me! Oh wow, this is so frustrating! I am really getting fed up with this whole process and am not really understanding why there is such a lack of communication when questions are asked, I also asked her a similar question and she also dodged it. It would really make life a lot easier if they could send out notification via email so you can start planning for it/and or for other things if you did not get it and move on! I am so distracted by this process and not understanding what the big delay is this year :( I hate to complain so much but I feel like this is very long and drawn out! Thanks for the update! If anyone else from Norway wants to email Rachel and see if any more letters will be sent out anytime soon after the batch that was sent out on Friday please do! I already called her this week so I think I used up my annoyingness allowance for this week, but it would be great to know if there is an end in sight for these other decisions to be sent out!

Ahhh :( By the way, I did the Oslo International Summer School program 3 years ago, it was cool! I am just dying of impatience!!!! I can't stand it...! I wish I knew when the next decisions were being sent out! Noone else from the spreadsheet has updated about Norway either, all we've heard so far is that one person who got it.. ugh..

Yes that makes sense. I was actually surprised to be picked as a finalist for the same reason, I am doing it is the field of business/management (Scandinavian Management Models) specifically and it seems that people in business fields to not generally get chosen (not sure what the reason is, could be simply that less people apply within business fields). I have not gotten the final yes/no verdict yet, but I am not expecting to be chosen based on my field of study being business which seems to be far less common! Congrats to you on being picked though !

That is a good question, I was actually wondering the same! I was hoping it would be a fair amount, since that is one of my strongest attributes, GPA & Language skill, but I get a feeling it does not really matter as much as I hoped! Not too sure though it is hard to say as they do not really mention it.

Yea, I have not given up hope for us yet She did no say, I asked her and she made it sound like there was no particular order in which they were being sent out and that they did not have all the decisions certified at that moment. She would not really clarify so it is hard to say! I actually had a small white envelope in my mailbox and the moment I saw it I was so sad, and then it turned out to be a letter from my school haha so there is still hope until a rejection comes! but man oh man I would love to have gotten one of those emails today!!

Yes, would love to hear from the other Norway applicants on the spreadsheet! Do you think they sent out all the emails today or there is still a chance we could get something in the upcoming days...? Ahh the uncertainty is killing me!

I know I totally agree.. well we hopefully will hear something tomorrow or thursday.. fingers crossed! At this point I just want to hear either way so I can either jump for joy or move on with my life and put plan B into action haha!

Any of my other fellow Norwegian hopefuls on here get their letters or emails today? Good to know they are sending out emails as well this year. I called Rachel today by the way and she said only "some letters" went out on Friday, about half of them, and she could not say when the next ones would be going out... I am not sure I totally understand how some decisions are available and others are not? Anyone have any insight/experience/thoughts on this. Well at this point I am feeling pretty hopeless since I did not get an email from the Norway office today, because I cannot imagine why they would send out emails on different dates. But I guess I will remain hopeful until a small white envelope shows up in my mailbox. haha

You should, by the way, add yourself to the spreadsheet! That way others can see as well in case they are not following the thread! Weird that Norway is sending out emails this year, they did not either of the past two years! Congrats again!

Anyone from Norway hear today?! They sent "some of them" out on Friday so maybe someone will get it today? I don't think mine was sent out Friday, becasue from New York to Miami should have arrived today.. sigh the wait continues! Rachel also said she does not know when the next batch will be sent out for Norway.. not sure what the delay is, if some are decided, why aren't the others? very weird, and this whole process seems to be very delayed based on how it went the past two years! Yea it is very true, last year a lot more people had already heard! At least I know the Norway letters have been sent so I will be frantically stalking my mailbox starting tomorrow, to say the least! haha Good luck to everyone this week I hope a lot of people find out!!

Do you guys think there is any pattern for mailing these things out? Or do you think it is a random mix of acceptances/alternates/rejected? I can't really tell from the sheet and some people say they do acceptances first and some say they do rejections first.. hmmmm

I know!!! Fingers crossed that we both get the Fulbright!!!!! I'll let you know as soon as I get my letter from them!! I am in Miami, so it should not take too long mail tends to get here pretty quickly from the Northeast!
