As indicated in another post, I've applied to NYU Institute for French Studies for a joint Phd program. Someone has put his result here on this site , saying he has been accepted by phone wednesday. So I emailed the secretary of my departement and she said that GSAS was generating decisions and mailing it, and that I would have an answer by mail before the end of March.... Is there anybody here that has seen acceptance results at NYU (emails or phone calls) on this site (table) and has not heard of anything yet ? To people like me : should we be pessimistic ? Thanks giving your opinion.

Hello my situation : I have learnt on this site that someone (an American) has been called wednesday from the Institute for French Studies of NYU, and been accepted at the same Phd program as me : French Studies and History - NYU. I haven't get any phone call or even an email yet..... ; secretary of Department only told me : "The graduate school is now mailing letters, you will have it in a few weeks". I know it smells really bad, but do I still have a chance ???? Thanks in advance

Hello I've just discovered this site, and looking at the "search results" category, looks like already two applicants to the Phd in French at NYU have been accepted - only 3 people were to get in, so that looks really for me. Should I trust the table of results ? Do you often have people who put fake results ? Actually I don't understand why they had news so early (they both say Feb 7th), and why they got he news by phone or email : NYU graduate school says they will mail the results in march.... So can I trust what people say ? Thanks
