  1. I see people have posted Northwestern notifications. Mine still hasn't been put up on the website. I mean if they have already notified all the accepted students, then I pretty much know my answer. But it would still be nice to see it, accept it and put it behind me.
  2. I applied to 4 MA programs and 5 PhD. If I had understood earlier of all the kinds of applicants I'd be going up against (ones with Masters, teaching experience, published, etc.) then I would have applied for more MA programs. I have heard back from two PhD where I did not make the cut and still waiting to hear from everyone else. I should've applied to WashU! They do have a great program...aughh. I should have researched my programs better. Oh well nothing to do now but hope for the best.
  3. Hey I'm definitely in the same boat. I would have loved to graduate in May and go straight to PhD from a bachelors. But looks like I'll have to wait to get a Masters first and then apply again? Just the thought of having to go through this application process another year is giving me an anxiety attack. At this point, I don't care about the top schools, I just want to get in somewhere. This waiting is making me incredibly nervous.
  4. Will JHU send it by postal service or notify online? We'll prob get the news beginning of next week. The next two "Mid-March" weeks will be scary as hell won't they?
  5. I see a Hopkins acceptance on the results page. Di d anyone else hear from JHU? Historically, it seemed like they wouldn't notify till mid-March...
  6. Hi everyone, Just spoke to my parents last night. Apparently, they have received a letter from Cornell, but they didn't open it. They're waiting for me to do it. My parents' house is my permanent address and the one on the application. But I'm at school now and it's driving me crazy! Did anyone else get a notification through snail mail? From previous years, it seems accepted students get a personal phone call/email, none of which I have received, and rejections have gone through postal service. I'm very nervous as Cornell's my top choice. So I called the department and left a message. No one has called me back yet. Ughh...I'm totally freaking myself out.
