I thought I was the only person this happened to! I only applied to two schools....I got into my reach back in February, and received an interview at my safety. I visited both, and fortunately, fell in love with my reach school. I went and visited my safety school (heck, my plane flight was $500, so I can't even imagine how much they actually spent. Probably close to $1000 per visitor), and felt good about my interviews, but came to the conclusion it wasn't the school for me. But it didn't matter, I still have yet to hear back from them! I emailed 4 or 5 weeks ago, asking about when I would hear, and I was told they were in the midst of admissions. And yep. Nothing since then. A friend of mine, in the same department, applied and visited as well, and hasn't heard anything either. I'm upset; the least you could do was send me a rejection letter, so I can have peace of mind. It's a small field, and I know I would hate to burn my bridges....I'm just surprised the school doesn't share in my opinion.

I believe that means your department recommended you to Rackham....and from what I've heard, that's pretty much a done deal, Rackham is there to put the paperwork together. BUT I could be wrong; UMich confuses me. I was invited to visit back in March, I went, made some good connections....and I haven't heard anything since.
