  1. Thanks, cc139. I am leaning towards HKS, but SIPA is a good program too - tough decision. I was wondering why I didn't get into WWS. My gre score was Quant=790,Verbal=700 and writing=4.5. I also have 6 yrs work ex and a previous masters, as well as good recos. Heartbreaking since I've wanted to go to WWS for years, but waited to get decent work ex. :-(
  2. Rejected :-( Is it possible to reach out to the school/university to get on the waitlist or discuss why I didn't get through? Got into HKS, SIPA and Brown; but WWS was first choice.

Both profs were on my thesis committee and I worked really well with them. Both were eager to help - one prof had only 3 days notice and the other went to Harvard :-). Work recos went well too (I think) since I had worked on multiple and varied projects with both recommenders, so they knew my professional and inter-personal skills. One thing I would do differently - notify people well in advance! Other:
  4. Got into MPA (SUP/Advanced Econ) at SIPA as well as MPA2 at HKS. No funding at either, need to get a loan either ways. Both are excellent schools +programs with great resources, so tough decision. Anybody here in same situation? Any advice?
  5. Hi, Got accepted into the Brown MPP program with no funding. I visited the school, but not on admit day. I thought it was pretty small. Especially when compared to SIPA and HKS (my other 2 admits) 30 students/year, small size, need to go to other schools for courses I wanted - just some of the negatives. Biggest disadvantage is no funding! Might as well borrow for HKS :-). Just for reference - my GRE scores were Quant=790, Verbal=700 and previous masters GPA=3.6 and bachelors GPA=3.8
  6. Hello All, I applied to HKS, Woodrow Wilson, SIPA and Brown. Got accepted at HKS, SIPA and Brown with no awards at any of them. I am leaning towards HKS (MPA2) but SIPA is an excellent school too. In a dilemma since I will have to get a private loan either ways. I am an international student, and have to get the loan/s and certifications soon. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
  7. Hi- I had to login to the SPARKS page to get redirected to the MYFAID page. From there you can use your login to get to the cert form. Hope that helps. If you still don't have access, maybe you could call or email them. I had issues with my SPARKS page and the help desk person was really nice. I am an international student too, although I already live in the US. Same boat as you. :-)
