    HELP

A couple days ago I mailed my portfolio and statement of purpose to one of the many universities I'm applying to. Late last night I reviewed my statement and realized I made a mistake as I was rushing to correct little aspects of the paper and ship my materials to the school. The mistake was that I should of changed was "gave" to "given", but unfortunately only added a "n" to gave, spelling "gaven". I'm really stressing out over this mistake, I can't sleep or eat and its all I can think about. My statement otherwise is very articulate, and has been years in the making. I've been thinking about what I should do and I desperately need advise. Should I: a) resend the statement of purpose, with a note stating to discard the previous one. chill out its only one a small mistake, you're making too big of a deal out of it. c) call or email the graduate coordinator, and explain that I will be resending a statement of purpose. I have visited the program recently and received good reviews by many of the departments faculty, who encouraged me to apply, I just don't want this small mistake to ruin my chances. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
  4. This a sample of some of my work on my tumblr. critisim and or advise? v-l-y.tumblr.com
  5. I hate the idea of calling a program a safety, but does anyone know of any schools that have a decent reputation, good student work, but have a reasonable acceptance rate. I'm a printmaker but my work in print is more conceptual, rather than traditional printing or heavily process oriented, so its been difficult finding schools in which I would fit in.
  6. Tyler is definitely in my top three, I planning on visiting in the fall. I met a Tyler grad student at SGCI in St. Louis, and she recommended the school to me. She mentioned that the new facilities are amazing. Is there any where online that could see your work or the portfolio you submitted?
  7. Does anyone have any info on the printmaking programs at SVA, Hunter, and Pratt? My work is more conceptual in nature than traditional print. If you have any info on any other programs that tend to be more interdisciplinary or experimental, please share. Some of the schools I'm looking at besides these three are: Tyler, RISD, Wisconsin-Madison, VCU.

    Printmaking

My work is more experimental and conceptual than traditional printmaking, I'm also looking at VCU. I'm not looking int herron much because I live in Indiana. Madison looks good and so does Iowa, but for the past couple of years they've been working out of an abandoned Menards Wearhouse, and I'm not sure if i want that to be my grad experience. Mass Art also looks good, but I need more state schools on my list.

Anyone working on their MFA in Printmaking or looking for a program to attend? If so, where?
  10. I am applying to grad school next year, and looking for conceptual based printmaking programs. On my list of interest is CCA, SAIC, MCAD, Washington, Wisconsin—Madison, VCU, and Tyler. Does anyone have any knowledge of any conceptual based programs at State Universities, or small programs?
