A couple days ago I mailed my portfolio and statement of purpose to one of the many universities I'm applying to. Late last night I reviewed my statement and realized I made a mistake as I was rushing to correct little aspects of the paper and ship my materials to the school. The mistake was that I should of changed was "gave" to "given", but unfortunately only added a "n" to gave, spelling "gaven". I'm really stressing out over this mistake, I can't sleep or eat and its all I can think about. My statement otherwise is very articulate, and has been years in the making. I've been thinking about what I should do and I desperately need advise.
Should I:
a) resend the statement of purpose, with a note stating to discard the previous one.
chill out its only one a small mistake, you're making too big of a deal out of it.
c) call or email the graduate coordinator, and explain that I will be resending a statement of purpose.
I have visited the program recently and received good reviews by many of the departments faculty, who encouraged me to apply, I just don't want this small mistake to ruin my chances.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?
