  1. Just talked to a representative there and it seems that all the rejections have been sent out. Just check your spam filters and make sure your mailbox isn't full so that it bounced or something.

  2. I got the rejection email too -- last name starts with B. Oh well. I wasn't that hopeful to begin with. I am looking forward to the rating sheets though to get some feedback. That will be much better than grad school rejections.

By the way, I love that Flight of the Conchords quote.

I'm going to the bar for a few. I figure it'd make the rejection less bad if it's here when I get home.

  3. I just logged in and it asked me to change my password.... This probably means nothing, but I thought I'd note it in case anyone thinks otherwise.

  4. It'd be awesome if I could find out now whether or not my proposal is going to be funded. This way I could go to bed early and sleep well despite knowing that I'm not fully prepared for my exam tomorrow.

  5. haha, i would do that too! but i wouldn't do the first part.

also, we're in the same field (neuro?), cool :)

haha yeah I agree. I saw that link mentioned above and was really hesitant to click it. Part of the reason for posting it here was to see if other people would do it and to see what sort of messages they got. And, yes, neuro here too!

  6. i actually wouldn't try this but that's just me... i wouldn't want to eff up the system too much or inadvertently accept stuff.

I'd inadvertently accept a GRFP award any day.

  7. So it looks like from the list that Fastlane prepares the lists prior to sending the letters to NSF for approval. I'm guessing that this gives some hope for the HTML trick this year.

  8. I didn't start getting anxious about this until probably this past weekend, now I'm checking the site every few hours. I guess I'll have to just wait it out and see. Anyway, this is my first application; assuming that I'm going to have to revise and resubmit, how detailed are the comments that reviewers leave? Also, and I'm assuming the answer is no, but is it likely that at least some of the same reviewers will see your application the second time around?
