  1. Hi everyone, I did my bachelors(electrical engg.) from a mid tier Indian univ. with a GPA of 7.37/10 (7.0 is B and 8.0 is B+). I am currently about to finish a 1 year coursework based Masters from a top ranked asian univ. (GPA(1st semester) : 4.225/4.3). My GRE score is 1420 (quant : 790, verb : 630). I am not published as of yet. I was looking forward to applying in some Canadian univs for the research based Masters (MASc), as well as some US univs. Can someone please tell me what are my chances of getting an admit (with funding at the following universities.). Mc Master univ. (MAsc), Queens Univ. Univ of Alberta. Any other safe univs that you can recommend? Also can someone recommend US unvis that offer financial asssitance to incoming gradute students?
  2. @ everyone in this thread - Thanks for giving me hope! I did my bachelors from a mid tier India univ with a 7.4/10 GPA (around 3.1), but my masters(coursework) is from a top ranked asian univ with a near perfect GPA. I was looking for a research based masters hoping to get some publications, and I always though I`d never get in considering my undergrad GPA. but seeing this thread makes me feel so much better!!
  3. Hi everyone, My first post here, I hope some of you can help me out! I have admits from: HKUST : (1 year MS - IC design engineering) Technical university of Hamburg - MS microelectronics and microsystems. NTU- taught MS electronics. I am still waiting for KU leuven (have a feeling i`ll get through). Can someone please help me choose among the above univs. I plan to go for a job first and phd later on. My personal preference is HKUST because they have an excellent program and great faculty - hardly any IEEE ssc journal goes by without having contributions by them. Can any seniors please help me out here?
