  1. Congrats! Did they volunteer the info that they got more funding? Or did you ask? And for the sheet, what day were you notified?
  2. Congrats to both of you! That's awesome. And I've updated the sheet to reflect your promotions. There's more than 2 months (67 days) between their original notifications and the promotion. I'm still crossing my fingers for June.
  3. Hello all, Have any other alternates received promotions? So far 10% (9/90) on the sheet have been promoted to accepted! Regardless of how futile the dream, here's to hoping for a few more. GL all. Anywho, let us know.
  4. China notified 4/27...
  5. That's really good news. Hopefully there really is more funding.
  6. Hello all, I've updated the sheet with the new promotions to principal. We already had 4 alternates promoted to accepted represented on the spreadsheet. So this brings the sheet total to 6. They are listed below with their country, grant type, dates of notification, and days between notifications. rll2866- Ecuador ETA (original notification: 3/19/12, promotion: 4/12/12) 25 days Bildsprecherin- Germany ETA (original notification: 3/26/12, promotion: 4/26/12) 32 days LLJKedge- Germany Full (original notification: 3/13/12, promotion: 4/02/12) 21 days viktoria18- Serbia ETA (original notification: 4/17/12, promotion: 5/7/12) 20 days sheelal90- Sri Lanka Full (original notification: 3/28/12, promotion: 4/11/12) 15 days SOS18- Taiwan ETA (original notification: 4/9/12, promotion: 5/7/12) 29 days Please let us know if you are promoted. Btw, last year the sheet had 11 promotions out of 65 alternates (17%) and the year before had 21/76 alternates on the sheet promoted (28%). Good luck to my fellow alternates!
  7. Alternate to Latvia. It's been real but I'm going to take a nap, go to the beach, and graduate.
  8. This sounds like it would affect other regional grant programs too like SSA, those grouped in Central Asia, the Baltic States, etc... But SSA and Central Asia have already heard. What would make the Caribbean and CA different? Not sure that I understand.
  9. If it's not tomorrow, I don't know what will happen to my psychological state. We're being strung along with maybe by this date or that date... I know there are apparently some weird FSB back-ups this year but it would be awesome if they communicated that with us a little better instead of leaving people in the dark. One day at a time... come on Tuesday! Flash back to someone's earlier post: Big money, big money, big money, no whammies, no whammies, stop!!!
  10. Yeah, I've even noticed a couple people reporting time stamps after business hours EST. They are all across the board, I don't think you can rule anything out... Anything between 8am and 6 or 7pm M-F seems fair game to me.
  11. lol. it just goes to show how dependent we've become on the support. the camaraderie is comforting in times of growing impatience!
  12. omg I was so confused what to do with my day when I couldn't get into the forum...
  13. Is it safe to assume that all of SSA heard today? I would be interested in seeing an updated version of the map! Also, I don't think it was mentioned on the board but Canada applicants received notifications today too.
  14. They've also forgotten the Baltic states... omg... if the refresh button could break, it would have by now. And congrats to SSA folks! The wait is over! I've updated the sheet to reflect your notifications so far. Good luck to the rest of you!
  15. Congrats! And thank goodness for more notifications today. The dry spell (real or imagined) was depressing!
