I wish I had some way to filter my emails so that I wouldn't get excited for new messages only to find some invitation to some event I've never heard of.

Perhaps you could stubbornly hold out hope until you receive a definitive "yes" or "no?!" You never know after all! I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck!

I can't even count the number of times I've been told "it only takes one!" at this point. Good luck. You mentioned "normally." Is this your second round?
