  1. I still have not heard anything back from UC Davis. I applied for their masters of computer science program. I emailed the graduate coordinator today, and she just informed me that I will know my results "by the end of June at the latest". I thought I would know by April 15th if I got in or not. Is not hearing your results till June 30th normal? Is anyone else in the same boat as me? My profile is not the best, but it is pretty good. GPA: 3.60/4.00 GRE: 157 / 157 / 4.5 My mediocre test scores I think are more than made up by my great LORs and research/industry experience. So what could be causing such a late decision? If I was to be given a full time job offer next week, should I just take it? I really want to go to UCD as they have an amazing graphics lab - but I don't know if I can survive another 2 months of waiting. thoughts?
  2. I got a 156 on both and a 4.5 on the AW...strange, I felt like I did better on test day. I might have to retake them.
  3. I am preparing to apply for grad school this fall for the fall 2012 term. (early I know, but preparation is key!) I will be finishing my final year here at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. I am a Computer Science Major (math minor) with a concentration in computer graphics. I love all aspects of computer graphics and would love to work at top company in the future (Weta, Autodesk, Pixar, ILM, nVidia, etc.) as a graphics programmer. I will be applying to 3 programs this fall: UC San Diego http://graphics.ucsd.edu/index.php UC Berkeley http://graphics.berkeley.edu/ UC Davis http://www.idav.ucdavis.edu/ Does anyone have any experience applying to these schools? Also, what are your opinions on which program is better? My choices are 1-UCSD, 2-UCB, and 3-UCD. About me: I have a decent GPA (3.6) and will probably have good GRE score, seeing as I am a good test taker. I also have some research experience (lab at my school) and industry experience. (intern at ATi for graphics drivers) I have been learning OpenGL and am working on my own raytracer. I hear the admissions for all of these schools is very competitive. Do you think I have a chance? Any advice would be much appreciated.
