  1. Just got my acceptance letter from Indiana emailed to me today. She said that she had tried to send it last week but had put my email address wrong! I'm so pumped, I've been waiting so long!!!!
  2. does anyone want to claim the newest IU wait list? and perhaps the first letter of your last name?
  3. I am also waiting to hear from Indiana. I am a History/Library Science dual degree applicant, so I don't know if that makes any kind of difference in when I will hear from them. I called the secretary last week who was very polite and kind, but couldn't give me any definitive answer and said that I would be emailed as soon as decisions were made. She said (one week ago) that they were reviewing my application group the next day, but still nothing. Do we think it's in alphabetical order? My last name begins with S, so I guess it is still feasible.
  4. Are there any other Indiana applicants who haven't heard from them yet? I'm a dual MA History/MLS applicant, and I was hoping to hear last week. Just wondering, good luck to everyone!
  5. Agreed, I thought it was still a little early. I'm just a Dual MA/MLS applicant, but I hope they will make all of the decisions at the same time. Thanks for the response!
  6. Hey congrats to everyone so far! Have any Indiana University applicants heard anything? There was an acceptance posted on the result survey, but that's the only one I've seen. Last year they didn't start letting people know until (what equates to) this coming Monday. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything. Thanks!
  7. My scores were the lowest range choice as well, but it's ok! Verbal: Projected - (590-690) Actual - 159 (590) 84% Quantitative: Projected - (670-770) Actual - 153 (67) 65% AW: 4.5 - 72%
  8. Thank you for your replies. I realize at schools that offer M.A. programs as part of a PhD program would be less likely to give me funding. These schools however have dedicated public history programs that I know give funding each year to students in M.A. programs.
  9. I am a History major who will graduate in May and I was wondering whether I had a strong enough resume to get in the conversation for fellowships or teaching assistantships. My goal is a Public History or History M.A. program, at schools like Indiana University-Bloomington, IUPUI, UW-Milwaukee, Auburn, South Carolina, etc. I understand it's hard to tell me anything without knowing the quality of my letters of recommendation or personal statements, but I feel very confident about both of those, so I just wanted to know if my vitals put me in the game or not. GPA: 3.72, Major GPA: 3.91 GRE: 1260-1460 (590-690V, 670-770Q) I also have had a good background of tutoring/helping to teach history classes primarily in archival research, so I'm helping that helps in considering assistantship awards. I know this is pretty general, but I just want to know if I have a chance at getting some money from these schools. Thank you for any help you can offer.
