  1. I've had 4 rejections so far and 1 waitlist. Still waiting to hear back from two schools. I've been reading the posts on this thread and feel comforted that others are in the same position as I am and that I'm not alone. Does anyone have backup plans? The thing that bugs me is that I feel that I am a competitive applicant (great GPA, lots of clinical and volunteer experience, average GRE scores); however, I don't know really what more it is that I have to do to make myself "stand out". For those that are in the same boat as I am, what are your backup plans?
  2. I see. Thank you for the information. Guess we'll just have to wait a little longer than we originally planned for.
  3. twinguy7, I'm in the same boat with UOP - I'm not really feeling great about it. Just curious, how did you find out that there were no rejections from the early applicant pool? Does this mean we still have a chance now that we've been moved to the regular applicant pool?
  4. How important is self-reporting on CSDCAS? If a school wants the official scores sent from ETS to the CSDCAS code, do they even look at the self-reported scores? I self reported two sets of GRE scores from previous tests I have taken AND sent in my official scores to a program in order to apply for an early deadline. I've already e-submitted my application so I can no longer make changes. Also, the test scores are decent...average. I realized that I have time to take the test ONE more time and raise my scores for programs with later deadlines; however, the self-reported scores of the old tests are there on my application forever and I can't take them off... I'm worried that having these self-reported scores are detrimental to my application EVEN if I send in new, higher, official scores to the CSDCAS code for these programs. Can someone help me out?!
  5. I made a spur of the moment decision to no longer apply to two of the six programs I'm applying for . The deadlines for these schools have not passed; however, I do not know if my recommenders have sent in the rec letters yet to each program. I'm afraid that if they already wrote these letters, it would do more harm than good suddenly say I'm no longer needing a letter of rec for these programs. What is the right thing to do here?
