Hahaha. Thanks. I was just assuming it was an older thread, so I was looking at the previous pages.

No, I suspect they'll probably be released around the same time as previous years. I believe the "delay" is offset by the fact that the committees met quite a bit earlier this year.

Echoing what others have been saying, this is an email response I got from an advisor who is one of the chemistry group reviewers: "The panels met about 4 weeks ago (quite a bit earlier than we met last year), but the program officers indicated that there is going to be a long delay before the results come out as they want to make a very detailed analysis of the students in the "possible" category, many of whom will get a fellowship."

I'm waiting on Scripps, although I find it hard to believe that they're still actually considering people... since the visitation weekends are essentially upon us.

Results won't even be released until at least the first week in April. Doesn't seem like there's much to talk about until then...

I notice that a couple people have received interview offers from Scripps in the past few days, so I guess it's not too late for me to hear back.

Lots of people have. Just look at the results survey. An email from the person in charge of admissions said that all those who have been admitted have been notified.

I've decided that if I don't hear back from Scripps before tomorrow evening I'm going to give the graduate program a call to try to check on the status.

Even so, I've never known the USPS (or any other mail service for that matter) to take a week to deliver a letter. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

Congrats twb! I hope that they'll surprise me in the same way. In better news, I was accepted to Princeton and Berkeley today.

Perhaps this week. I'd say there's sitll hope. If I can get up the nerves, maybe I'll call the admissions team.

It looks like someone else got an interview with CCB by email on the 11th. Maybe they're spreading things out this year.

I bought a Kindle Fire and use it all the time for reading papers in pdf format. It's great because I'll download a whole bunch before I take a flight or train trip and just spend the entire time catching up on the literature. Plus it's priced at $199, so it fits your budget.
