  1. Have you explained this to MIT admissions? It seems like they would be willing to admit you without funding or contingent on your receipt of it since funding appears to be their only concern.
  2. That's great! I'm not sure if I'll be at the open house in April. I am actually in CA now visiting Stanford at the end of the week. Today I'm planning on checking out Berkeley, too. I'll let you know what I think.
  3. Congratulations!! Will you be heading to California?
  4. Thanks! Congrats to you, too! No funding offers so far
  5. Thanks, it is a relief to get in, but now I have to choose one. I'm interested in earthquake engineering and want to supplement with some construction management classes. Out of curiosity, you mentioned MIT and Berkeley, why would you put MIT over Stanford for structural given the rankings? I am actually leaning towards Stanford because of their strong program and great location. Anyone have thoughts on why others are better?
  6. Thanks! I got it around 4:30PM eastern time. The website has not been updated with the decision information yet. The email says that the official acceptance will be from the Graduate Department, this is just an email from the structures group to let me know to expect the letter soon and that I have been admitted. It didn't say anything about funding
  7. Got into Stanford as well. My letter said that funding decisions would be made at a later date. Anyone going to the visitation on March 16?
  8. Congrats on your acceptances! How did you get your Stanford acceptance, mail, email?
  9. To those applying to Stanford: Do you think we will be notified by email or by postal letter? It seems like decisions should come out soon because they have a visitation scheduled for all accepted applicants on March 16. They have to give people enough time to get tickets and get there, right?
  10. I haven't heard anything from UIUC yet either. Hopefully we'll hear back soon. Last year it looks like some of the UIUC structural applicants started getting answers around this time, but it could be different this year. Didn't apply to VTech.
  11. @edor1 Your stats look great! Congrats on your Cornell acceptance! Do you know if there is a visitation day scheduled?
  12.
