Hi guys,
I am strongly considering applying to NYU and Teachers College as well as Hunter College for Childhood Education/Special Education at the childhood level (dual). I understand that all programs are very reputable, however I am having a very tough time deciding on whether or not I want to have the burden of loans when I know I can get a cheaper education at a State school. I graduated from Cornell University with a BS in Human Development and I want to be sure that I give myself the best possible education.
My question is, for all of the loans (40K+) do you think its worth it to enroll at an NYU or a Columbia? to then become a teacher (part of me says yes - because of the reputation and name and part of my says no - because of the financial risk).
Your feedback will really help me!
Thanks!
