  1. Small Wars Journal. It's focused on irregular warfare and COIN, but I know generals who contribute to that board.
  2. Has everyone been contacted, for better or for worse? Still haven't heard from them. Know that their admits were contacted via email last Friday, but it seems like I would've received a rejection letter by now. Anyone been waitlisted?
  3. Well I only know the intel world, but I do know that if the "Africa" in your username is indicative of your geographical location, no doubt you'll be in very high demand in the spook world. Sub-Sahara Africa is widely thought to be the next big front in the war on terrorism, so they'll be no difficulty finding work If you're interested in the intelligence world, shoot me a text with your email and we can go into more detail.
  4. Also, someone posted on the results search that they received their official SSP nasty gram via snail mail. It begins...
  5. Yeah I think you nailed it. "Fool's hope" indeed.
  6. Meh -- same boat, no email. I took it as a rejection. Best I can hope for now is wait list, but I'm really getting excited about UK Patterson if the DC schools don't come through.
  7. Hey congrats! GSPIA is a phenomenal program -- and yes, in-state PA tuition is no doubt better than 33k a year for Elliott
  8. Hope so! SSP is an awesome program... but I did get into Patterson as a safety net. That vented some of the pressure.
  9. Fletcher has a great rep, but I've been stationed in Wyoming for the past four years and I'm tired of being cold
  10. meh -- I prefer things that are painted blue...
  11. It's killing me too! Did Tiffany say when they'd send out letters? I think SSP snail mails...
  12. I think Mason will be at the same level of GWU and Gtown in a few decades -- but notable red flag on this program: for some inexplicable reason they make you take calculus. Have two friends in their final semester right now (security concentrations), and both are livid at having to shell out all that $$$ per credit for a class that A) devours a kingly share of study time and has nothing to do with their degree :x For the calculus alone, I'd avoid any government policy programs at GMU.
  13. It sounds like UK Patterson and KSU might fall under some sort of "best kept secret" category. I'm pretty happy about putting in an app to UK -- they might be 18th overall, but I love the small class sizes (only 36 students admitted per year).
  14. If you get an interview, maybe you should wear your riding boots (sorry, VMI guy here )
