Nope! But my adviser told me already he wouldn't tell me if I made it through or didn't because he wasn't supposed to, and he's terrible at giving any kind of news. He told me to just wait.

The subject was something along the lines of Fulbright Application and it was an incredibly generic e-mail. I haven't gotten it; I've just been stalking the thread from last year... cause I'm not freaking out. The thought of it being this week filled me with some sort of ridiculous dread. Everyone's so hopeful and dreaming of being somewhere else next year doing something they love... the thought that for (probably) a lot of us that's going to end this week just makes me beyond depressed.

Well I know I'm obsessing. And pissing. Have to get rid of that waste from all my obsessive drinking somehow, right? People have been asking me, so I thought I would ask others, too: even if you don't get the Fulbright, would you still find a way to get to your country in the next few years? Oh dear... on top of checking my inbox relentlessly, I will now be checking my Junk mail. Here here!

I actually feel really bad for FPAs. Mine told me already that he wouldn't tell me beforehand because he's not supposed to and that he hates it. So- to answer another's question- I'll be spending a great deal of my brain power on figuring out ways of not speaking to a professor I see everyday to avoid an awkward/stressful/guilt-ridden moment on his end. Figure it's the least I can do Do it!

yes, I would want to see them, but here's why: I didn't apply for everything all at once. The first thing I applied for was the Fulbright, and my letters were due by mid-September. For grad school, my LORs still aren't due, so if the original Fulbright LORs were not-so-great, who wouldn't want to know so they could get different ones? As for the last ones I turn in and don't plan on asking for any more... yeah, it doesn't really matter.

If only! But, yeah, as exciting as their Google+ page is, wasn't quite the excitement I was hoping for. ETA applicant to Bosnia (anyone else? ...Bueller?) and waiting. Twiddling my thumbs and waiting. Just waiting. Here's to hoping it's early, though. The notification date is right in the thick of finals, and not getting the Fulbright during finals would probably ruin my GPA. and my hopes and dreams and such, but mostly my GPA. Just sayin'.
