  1. Good luck to you too!
  2. Ahh, so nice to see someone else! NYU, Columbia, Yale, Harvard, Northwestern, and Berkeley for me. Any idea on when we should start to hear back?
  3. Oops - replied to an older thread. I am also a Slavic PhD program applicant. Did not apply to Washington, however.
  4. Port33, considering you wrote this a while ago, I don't know if you even check this site anymore - but if you do, where did you decide to apply? And any other Slavic PhD applicants around? I myself am waiting to hear from the six programs (!) I applied for, already freaking out!
  5. I had my interview for Russia already. I'm an ETA applicant, but it was pretty basic language-gauging for me. One thing I'm worried about is that my interview definitely was not the thirty minutes they said it would be; it was probably closer to 10-15. But I found it perfectly normal and not at all stressful. Good luck on your interview!
  6. Recommended for an ETA to Russia! Honestly in disbelief.
  7. Hi all - I'm a little late to the game, but just wanted to say how impressed I am with all of your stats! I know that isn't the purpose of this forum, but I can only sympathize with the Fulbright committee; it must be hard to select only a handful of such qualified applicants. I'm an ETA applicant to Russia myself. Not holding out much hope, as I was passed over for the CLS (Critical Language Scholarship) to Russia just last week, and I had only one week to work on my Fulbright application before submitting it (a very long story that involves being out of the country/contact for six months). However, seeing how much work so many people put into their applications, I think I won't feel as bad when I'm passed over for someone more qualified. Good luck to all, and hoping to hear from IIE soon!
