@snes I'm busy with school, and work. Coding work is the best way to distract myself! Also, I'm applying to jobs in case school doesn't work out. There's a certain large internet-based company in Seattle that's been hounding me
Might want to check the twitter acct's of people looking at your applications. A certain UCB composition prof was tweeting about some of the bad things he found in applications a few weeks back.
I visited the schools I applied to, and from just sitting down and talking with the directors in the music technology labs I applied to (CNMAT, CCRMA, etc.), I could tell that my chances at least doubled.
Hey all, I'm a bit late...
Applied to CCRMA @ Stanford, MIT Media Lab, UCSB's CREATE lab, and CNMAT @ UC Berkeley. Did anyone else go visit the schools they apply to? I currently work at MIT, so visiting was easy, and I flew out to UCB and Stanford last September.
My girlfriend made me wait until my applications were finished to get Skryim. The upside is, she offered to get it for me. So on December 14th at 8:30pm, I finished and sent in the last of four applications, and said "get your coat, we can make it to GameStop before it closes." And now I have an awesome distraction from the waiting.
