Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone had any opinnions on canadian grad schools - in particular Emily Carr and OCAD?
UBC

Yeah. I was one of them. It was awful.
how did they let you know it was an error? so awful

I'm not sure if anyone else applied to Northeastern's MFA program, but on Tuesday I got an e-mail from them stating that they were refunding our application fees because they're postponing the program for a year.....fail.

i'm still patiently waiting on my ucla rejection
-
same here! it's Thursday already! I don't think they've sent out anything, good or bad yet.
-
i kind of agree. i don't think i would have applied to any programs i knew so little about that i needed to ask message board users for info on
- smartstrategy, kazoo, johnrolson and 2 others

we should be hearing decisions soon, but i think they were a little delayed this year
-
just got my MIT rejection too. cross that one off the list! I'm looking forward to the day I can weigh my options without an unknown decision still pending
-
was MIT via e-mail? i wasn't expecting any decisions from them until the end of March
-
for UCLA, i can only get to the page where i can look at the application I submitted. Where are you guys seeing the page where you enter your e-mail address and click on fall 2012?

i had a pretty good day, especially at the end when they gave us booze...

NYU rejection just arrived via email

MassArt seems to be taking their sweet time. It seems like other programs tell you pretty quickly after the interview. I have my first interview tomorrow, so hopefully that's the case.

So... I was accepted to #4 ranked Cranbrook and rejected from #106 ranked Tulane which makes me laugh. This process is pretty subjective. This result also tells me that there is really no such thing as a "safety school." Safety is in number of applications to a variety of schools.
If you didn't get in this year, the lesson learned is - apply to top, middel, and bottom ranked schools - and as many as you can afford because there is no rhyme or reason to this process.
the rankings are subjective too...a lot of it comes from optional very short surveys given to the faculty at each school to fill out and return...

Did anyone on here apply to Northeastern?
-
i've been accepted to 2 programs, rejected from 2 programs, but still have NINE more that haven't given me any word
-
for whomever asked about BU, i know they sent out a batch of rejections about a week and a half ago
-
at SAIC it's a 1 year certificate, not a degree

Stupid question- For the in-person interviews what kind of attire is okay? I know my friends who went for their Med School interviews had to dress 'Business Casual', but does anyone know for MFA?
-
I'm curious about parsons as well
-
I don't mean everyone gets into post-bac, but i think they invite most everyone to re-enter the applicant pool for it.like i said- you interview prior to april 1 and they notify you prior to april 30th
-
I'm kind of thinking everyone who wasn't accepted to SAIC MFA got the post-bac thing? It doesn't mean automatic acceptance even for the certificate program. You interview by April 1, and then they notify you by April 30th.

did anyone else apply to the Art Practice program at SVA? Even if I get in, i think I"ll go to my other options, but it seems kind of crazy that they haven't sent decisions and the program starts in June.
